Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Highlighting Eyeshadow Palette Vol. III

What it is:
A creamy eyeshadow palette with eight shades that catch the light for an instant eye-illuminating effect with no primer needed.

Colors in the Palette:

  • Escape (nude pink luster)
  • Tiki (matte beige)
  • Heat Wave (pink luster)
  • Malibu (plum bronze)
  • Rays (peachy copper)
  • Compass (champagne)
  • Jewel (copper)
  • Treasure (pearlescent)
Swatches:

Verdict: I picked up this palette at a VIB Rouge event a few weeks ago. The palette is definitely on the neutral side. The formula of these shadows is different to the previous Rainforest of the Sea eyeshadow palettes. The shadows in this palette are similar to the formula of The Make Believe in Yourself Palette that was part of Tarte's Unicorn Collection. The shadows are very pigmented and apply super smoothly. There is one matte shadow for transitioning but everything else is a beautiful metallic/shimmer color. This is a great neautral palette with an illuminating twist.

Verdict: Let me first say that I love Too Faced products. The quality is always great and the packaging is killer but this palette was such a huge disappointment. I remember seeing a sneak peak of this palette on Instagram months ago and thinking to myself how amazing it was going to be but the palette that Too Faced released is just so sub par. The shadows were all so chalky and there was a ton of fall out. The pigmentation was also a hit or miss depending on the shade. The top row shades and white base were very difficult to work with. Even with a glitter primer on the outcome was patchy and the shades were quite chalky. The bottom row shades worked a little bit better but not enough to justify purchasing the entire palette. I honestly loved the concept of this palette and had it been executed better it would have been a hit but save your money and skip this new Fall release there will be plenty of other new beauty products to choose from.

NAILS INC. Unicorn Nail Polish Duo

What it is:
A long-wearing, high shine holographic nail polish duo that brings gleam and sparkle to your nails.

Colors in Set:

  • Dream Dust (rose gold sparkle)
  • Rainbow Wishes (soft rainbow lilac sheen)
Swatches:
Pictures just don't do these polishes justice.

Verdict: I absolutely love this nail polish set. Both colors are gorgeous and different than other nail polish colors that I own. The formula was amazing. It applied smoothly and looked great after just two coats. Also the application brush was just perfect. It was short and wide making it really easy to paint your own nails cleanly. I really wished that this set wasn't limited edition but I would highly recommend grabbing this set if you can find one.

* If you would like to pick up one your own NAILS INC. Unicorn Nail Polish Duo it is available for $15.00 at Sephora. Click the link for more details: Sephora

**At the time of this post the set is currently sold out online but you may still be able to find it in-store.

Butter London Glazen Eye Glosses (All 6 Shades)

What it is:
A lightweight, crease-resistant eye shadow that delivers a wet look shine, without being wet. The playful, pudding-like texture applies like a gel, but dries like a powder and lasts all day.

Available Colors:

  • Icing (cool sparkling mauve)
  • Moonshine (cool sparkling taupe)
  • Bronzed (rich sparkling deep bronze)
  • Frosted (warm sparkling rose gold)
  • Oil Slick (sparkling chameleon)
  • Spark (warm sparkling champagne)
Swatches:

Verdict: I stumbled upon these eye glosses while I was roaming around ULTA. The colors were soo sparkly that they just caught my attention. The shadows have a gel like consistency and apply soo smoothly. The colors all look amazing and don't budge once they dry. I did experience a little bit of creasing but nothing that a primer or setting spray can't fix. I actually think I may like these Butter London eye glosses more than the Stila Magnificent Metal liquid shadows. Overall
I must say these eye glosses are amazing.

* If you would like to pick up one or all of the Butter London Glazen Eye Glosses they are currently available for $24.00 each at ULTA, Nordstrom, and the Butter London website. Click the links for more details: ULTA, Nordstrom, Butter London
