Lancome Jason Wu IV: The Finale Collection

Get the perfect runway look with Jason Wu’s last collection for Lancôme. This collection features two limited-edition L'Absolu Rouge lipsticks and a multi-palette with shades chosen by Wu himself. The All Over Face Palette includes 12 essential eye shadows, a blush, and a bronzer. Finally the two hydrating lipsticks help finish off the makeup look with either a bold or subtle lip.

Lip Colors in the Collection:

328 Delicate Lace (a soft sheer nude)
377 Rose Couture (a bold bright pink)

Verdict: I love Lancôme's lip products but these colors were a bit of a letdown. I was hoping for something  original but both of these lipsticks ended up being duplicates for me. On the plus side though, these lipsticks went on smooth and had a creamy formula which didn't dry out my lips.

* If you would like to pick up your own Jason Wu for Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge lipsticks they are available for $30.50 each at Sephora.

Christian Louboutin Scarabée Limited Edition Collection

“They can look beautiful and reflective under the bright sun but also look like a precious jewel by night”

What it is:
Christian Louboutin found his muse in a key piece of Egyptian iconography, the scarab beetle. The iridescent beauty and wonder of this creature sacred to the Pharaohs, inspired three new shades of nail colour—the Scarabée Limited Edition Collection.

What it does:
Like a sleek accessory, these Christian Louboutin Nail Colours feature pigment pearls that reflect two shades at once, delivering unique reflections that are reminiscent of the colors on scarab beetles. These nail polishes are formulated to be long-wear and chip resistant which results in a luxe, glossy color for your nails.

This collection contains the following colors:

Scarabee 1 (nude pink/gold) Scarabee 2 (violet blue) Scarabee 3 (gold/bronze)
Verdict: These polishes worked better then the crème Louboutin colors. The colors still need about two coats for full opacity however the formula for these colors were less streaky. Overall a good improvement.

If you would like to pick up one of these Scarabee colors from Christian Louboutin, they are available for $50.00 each at Sephora. Click the link for more details: SEPHORA
