  • Uncommon (purple slate)
  • Mancat (deep plum)
  • Sweet tea (bronzer)

Eyeshadow Look Card:

Verdict: Let's be honest I don't really need another neutral palette in my life but this one from Tarte was calling to me. I tend to wear my eyeshadow pretty neutral which is why I keep stocking up when I see new palettes hit the market. The packaging is adorable and definitely screams Grav3yardgirl to me. Who wouldn't want to give an alligator its wings! Most of the colors swatched smoothly and had nice pigmentation but there were a few duds in the palette. Sippy Sippy and Sweat Tea both had a lot of glitter fallout. Mancat was very chalky and looked muddled while Big Baby seemed to have no color payoff. Other then that this palette wasn't half bad, especially the metallic colors. If I look through my collection I most likely have colors very similar to those in this palette but sometimes a girl just likes to buy new beauty products. If you are looking for a new neutral palette I would give this one a try.

* If you would like to pick up your own Tarte Swamp Queen Eye and Cheek Palette it retails for $45.00. This palette is selling out quickly so if you are eyeing it act quick. It is currently available for sale online at Sephora and Macy's. Click the links for more details: Sephora, Macy's

Christian Louboutin Launching New Lip Lacquer, "Loubilaque"

When most people hear the name Christian Louboutin the first image to come to their minds is the designers well known red bottomed shoes. These shoes have become a status symbol that most women dream off. With that in mind, the designer decided to expand his empire into the beauty world.

First there was the launch of his $50 nail lacquers, which were housed in stiletto shaped bottles. Then last summer, the company debuted their $90 lipsticks. And now for this summer, they just announced the launch of their new high shin lip lacquers.

These new lip glosses, being called "Loubilaque," will be released in July and will be available in eight shades, ranging from nudes to the patented Louboutin Rouge color. The new lip lacquers will retail for $85 each and will be packaged in a jewelry box, similar to that of their lipsticks.

Will anyone be purchasing these new luxury lip products?

Let me know :)

Julep is coming to ULTA

Julep, the online beauty company, is coming to ULTA Beauty this July 2016.

This is not the first time Julep has entered a retail store but it will be the first time the company has their own display. Julep launched at Sephora and Nordstrom a few years ago and since then Sephora no longer carries Julep products, making Nordstrom their only retail store distributor.

In December 2015 Ulta.com started carrying a few of Julep's products on a trial basis to see how customers reacted to the brand before its in-store launch. From July 31 to Aug. 4, Julep will enter 250 Ulta stores with 57 of their most popular products — including Love Your Bare Face cleansing oil and It’s Whipped matte lip mousse. An additional 50 stores will start to carry Julep during the end of 2016, with plans to expand to more locations in 2017.

According to Julep founder and CEO, Jane Park, this new partnership with ULTA Beauty will be one of the brand's most significant off-line presences. This partnership will give Julep a presence in about 1/3 of ULTA's 900 stores.

News about the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette

I purchased the Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow palette during the Sephora online release a few weeks back and have yet to post my review on the palette. Unfortunately, I just learned that the Becca x Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow palette will no longer be sold and has been discontinued.

After the online release of the collection, many customers were complaining about the quality of the eye shadow palette they had received. After a mix of negative and positive feedback Jaclyn Hill and Becca Cosmetics decided to no longer sell the Champagne Collection Eyeshadow Palette.

Jaclyn Hill explained on her Snapchat that due to a time crunch, the palette was sent to a different lab than the one typically used by BECCA. Unfortunately, this new lab ended up not delivering the same high-quality formulas that BECCA prides themselves on, resulting in shadows that fans thought were dry and patchy.

Becca Cosmetics issued the following apology to their fans on Instagram:

It’s a somber day at BECCA Headquarters. Our hearts are broken that we disappointed with the Limited Edition Eye Palette. We know this palette didn’t hit the mark. We apologize to our fans, to Jaclyn’s fans, and to @JaclynHill, whom we love and respect so much. We are honored by Jaclyn’s partnership. We remain committed to the highest standards of excellence and we are very sorry in this case that we’ve let you down. We heard your feedback. We always want to hear your feedback, whether it’s good or bad. You - our BECCA beauties - are our guiding light.
I know that many people were excited to get their hands on this palette and it's unfortunate that the product was discontinued, however I must admit I am very proud of Becca for putting their customers needs in front of their own. They could have easily sold the palette even though the quality was subpar but decided to not do so.

As I had mentioned before I did purchase the eye shadow palette and saw nothing wrong with the quality but I guess there were enough duds to justify the discontinuation.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

What it is:
A limited-edition face palette co-created with Jaclyn Hill. This palette gives you all the glow you could want all in one place. The palette features 3 blushes and two highlighters designed to help illuminate all skin tones. Mix and match the shades to create endless layers of light and color for your perfect, custom glow.

Colors in this Palette:

Shimmering Skin Perfectors (first 2) & Blushes (last 3)
  • Champagne Pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones)
  • Prosecco Pop (medium warm gold)
  • Rosé Spritz (soft peachy pink with pale gold shimmer)
  • Amaretto (matte toasted almond)
  • Pamplemousse (matte warm coral pink)

Verdict: I am crushing on this palette big time. The colors are gorgeous and look amazing on my light/medium skin tone. My favorite color in the palette is the Rose Spritz blush. It gives my cheeks the right amount of color with a huge shimmery pay off. I also must admit I am digging the Prosecco Pop highlighter so much more than Champagne Pop. This palette is a huge hit for me, my only issue is that I wish Champagne Pop was not included. I wish another shade was inlcuded since I still have the Becca palette that came out during the Holiday season and I am sure a lot of other beauty junkies probably own the individual Champagne Pop compact.

* If you would like to pick up your own Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette it retails for $52.oo at Sephora. The palette is currently sold out online but will be available June 16th in-store.  Click the link for more details: Sephora
